Muxtape to become a Bandcamp Competitor
Bandcamp has some company. Facing RIAA threats after its meteoric rise as a consumer-focused music sharing site, Muxtape has decided to become a music publishing platform for artists.
Good move. I expect to see more of this. Indie music is the only future for these plays. Now all that needs to happen is that the other mechanisms that make the major labels attractive to artists (money, promotion, recording studio, and tour support, etc.) need to be supplanted.
